BookNotes for Africa

"BookNotes for Africa is making a unique contribution, by modelling constructive Christian reflection in and about Africa."
                          -Dr David Kasali, Nairobi Evangelical
                           Graduate School of Theology, Kenya

BookNotes for Africa is a twice-yearly specialist review journal, offering one-paragraph evaluative reviews of recent Africa-related publications relevant for informed Christian reflection in Africa.

BookNotes for Africa has published reviews of more than 500 such titles relating to Africa. Titles are selected especially for potential interest to theological educators and theological libraries in Africa and overseas.

Reviews are provided by a team of contributors drawn from throughout Africa and overseas. Coverage is limited to titles published from 1986 onward, with emphases on those released in the past decade.

BookNotes for Africa is sponsored by the following distinguished theological schools in Africa:

  •  Theological College of Central Africa, Ndola, Zambia
  •  Harare Theological College, Harare, Zimbabwe
  •  George Whitefield College, Cape Town, South Africa
  •  Moffat College of Bible, Kijabe, Kenya
  •  Jos ECWA Theological Seminary, Jos, Nigeria

A simple mode of production is maintained to enable modest subscription rates for the intended readership.

Subscription rates are based on a two-year cycle (4 issues), and include airmail posting.

The rates for two years (4 issues) are:

  •  US$8 to addresses within Africa
  •  US$12 to addresses outside of Africa.

Back issues are also available, at US$3 per copy within Africa, and US$4 per copy overseas.
