PTEE Online - New Courses in the Sudan

June 26, 2003

Rev. Samuel Jock and Sarah, his wife, in Khartoum, Sudan

Dear Friends and Prayer-Supporters of the PTEE,

We send you greetings from Amman, Jordan, in the precious name of our Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

We'd like to keep you up-to-date concerning the challenges and developments of the ministries of the PTEE in training leaders for the churches of the Arab World. Today, we'd like to sollicit your prayer-support once again for the churches of Jesus Christ in Sudan, as well as the ministries of the PTEE in the same country.

Our brother and faithful co-servant, Rev. Samuel Jock, has been pivitol in encourageing and co-ordinating the classes of PTEE in the churches of Khartoum and in the regions beyond.

Our brother is planning a trip to the south of the country, including the city of his birth, Malakal, where he will visit a number of PTEE tutors and their respective study groups. He has been invited to teach a number of PTEE courses in the university of this city and hope to begin as many classes as possible in the region of Malakal. This is a challenging endeavour and we would request that you pray specifically for this project.

Please continue to pray for our brother Samuel, for strength, wisdom, discernment and a continued effective ministry in both teaching the Word of God and overseeing the existant PTEE classes throughout the country.

Pray likewise for his precious wife of six months as she is finishing her exams at university in Khartoum. She has had some serious health complications and they were considering a rather complicated and expensive surgery, however, it seems, the Lord has heard our prayer and yours in healing her without surgery and restoring her health. Give our God all praise for this answer to prayer and continue to pray for her and for both of them in their first year of married life.

Thank you so much for the many letters of encouragement sent to our brother Nabil in response to our last PTEE Online; he was deeply moved by your interest and fellowship. Likewise, anyone desiring to communicate words of appreciation to our brother Samuel and our sister Sarah can do so in writing to: samuel@ptee.org . Thank you in advance!

Thank you, once again, for all fellowship in prayer and in building the church of Christ in the Arab World. We are continually challenged and encouraged.

your brother in Christ,

Dr. Robert Miner
