BookNotes for Africa

This Index to the specialist review journal BookNotes for Africa is updated after the publication of each issue of the journal. Updates of this Index should normally be available within two months of publication of the latest issue. The Index is alphabetized by author.

BookNotes for Africa is an occasional publication (usually twice yearly) offering one-paragraph evaluative reviews of recent Africa-related publications relevant for informed Christian reflection in and about Africa. Titles are selected especially for potential interest to theological educators, libraries and researchers in Africa and overseas.

BookNotes for Africa is jointly sponsored by four distinguished theological schools in Africa, namely:

  • Evangelical Theological College, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • George Whitefield College, Cape Town, South Africa
  • Jos ECWA Theological Seminary, Jos, Nigeria
  • Theological College of Central Africa, Ndola, Zambia

Reviews are provided by a team of contributors drawn from throughout Africa and overseas. Coverage is usually limited to titles published from 1986 onward, with emphases on those released in the past decade.

Subscription rates are based on a 4-issue cycle, and include airmail posting. The 4-issue rate is US$10 to addresses within Africa, and US$15 to addresses overseas. Back issues are also available, at US$3 per copy within Africa, and US$4 per copy overseas. Address all correspondence to:
